I first bought these shoes at a retail store. It was a big committment as I was getting ready to return overseas and wouldn't be able to return them if needed. I was preparing to run my first half marathon also. These shoes are great. Since buying them I have run two half marathons and put on an additional 15 miles a week in the last six months. I still think my original shoes are still good for short runs but I am getting ready to buy my second pair on Amazon for my upcoming third half marathon. I should also make note that I am underpronate, meaning my feet do not roll inward when I run. Overall, I have definately gotten my monies worth from these shoes.

This shoe is great! Excellent comfort and cushioning!! I love to run and its a great feeling to know that your shoes are ready to run too..This is my 2nd pair of Asics Gel Pulse, but all my running shoes for the last 8 years have been, Asics!! If you are in doubt, don't be, you just found the shoe you have been looking for!

I stumbled across these in a sheer desperation shopping trip fornew running shoes, as I was breaking in my last pair of Nimbus 10 & the new "11" platform was not the same. The Nimbus was a big switch from the old GT2110's which fit my foot like a glove. (Wide forefoot, high arch, narrow heel,very neutral running style. The salesperson brought them over just hoping & it felt just like the old GT's, perfect fit, I didn't ave to get a wide, cushioned, flexible & LIGHT! I needed zero break in time in the gym before hitting the pavement for a few miles! The Gel-PulseII, is NOT the same, the platform has been tweaked, adding light stability features, not as much cushioning & a little bit heavier. They feel like the 1100 series if that's your shoe. I absolutely love these shoes. I bought the black and pink pair. I was a little iffy at first because I have never worn asics or black shoes. They are really cute! The shoe is extremely light and comfortable. I love running in them!

I love my shoes! Fits comfortably around the sock line and has enough room for my toes to wiggle around. Just enough cushion to it where you don't feel like you're wearing platforms. LOL. I used to have a gel landreth II and the one that came out after that never felt the same, or as comfortable...felt big and bulky, but this shoe is great...light and give you just enough bounce.
