Great Trainer!Feb 10, 2009

I was a big fan of the old "trigon 5" rides, which you can still get. They were my first official running shoe, I got at a running specialty store. Great shoe, I had them for about a year and they wore well. I bounced around to a couple other brands and models, I thought I should try them out. I regret that now.
I bought these about a month ago, they are just like I remembered! I have normal feet and am a heavier runner 215 when I bought the shoes, 180 now. I think most people find that the heal is somewhat firm, which I liked. They have a nice big toe box with a good overall fit. Order them on the large side. I wear a 11.5 usually, sometimes a 12, I ordered a 12 and the fit was perfect. These shoes are extremely well ventilated, so your tootsies will get cold during winter time runs.
Addition: Keep an eye on the prices of these shoes, certain colors and sizes are super cheap. I bought a second pair of the blue and silver ones for $40. A really good deal, I couldn't find anywhere else.

Good, but don't try to buy them againDec 27, 2009
By Jeffrey A. Mazer I have worn these shoes for several years, and find them to be a good combination of support and comfort. However, they have now been replaced by a Progrid Ride 2, which is not the same show. I tried the new shoe, but it is beefier and more supportive. It might work for some people, but the last thing I want is a heavier shoe with more support.

By djh1031 I have worn Sauconys exclusively for about 15 years after being fitted at a running store. The toe area is wider than most shoes, which I need. They do run about 1/2 size small so order up. I wear a 9 1/2 in everything but these and a 10 fits fine.

Saucony ProGrid RideNov 03, 2009
By Peter Eisenmann I love this shoe. It is wide enough for my feet and cushioned well for my stride. I purchased 4 extra pairs since we all know that once you find a shoe that works, it will be replaced by the next model (the Ride 2 isn't near as comfortable). I run 100 miles a month and the shoes are good for 300-500 miles a pair under normal conditions.

By S. Zimmer I'm an avid runner and have run with many different types and brands of shoes. These are by far some of the best in cushioning, fit, feel and support that I've had.
