Great Shoe for the Heavy RunnerJul 24, 2009
By C. Reynolds I am a 20+ miles per week runner with two marathons under my belt in the last year. Being 6'1" and 220 lbs plus a "heavy stepper" doesn't make it easy to find a shoe. I have tried most brands of "true" running shoes (Asics, Pearl Izumi, Brooks) plus many Nike running shoes always opting for the "cushioning" model and have liked other shoes as long as I keep my distance down. Once over 5 miles, I start to feel the difference. Once over 10 miles, no other shoe even compares.
I have ran with Mega-Bounce for over the last 2 years.
Pros -
Best cushioning heal to toe of any shoe I have ever tried.
The cushioning doesn't effect performance. It's not like running with a down pillow attached to your foot, more like a spring.
Durability is awesome.
Cons -
Inherent in the design that makes it the "best cushioning" is the height of the shoe off the ground. This height makes increases probability ankle twists/sprains.
Narrow toe box. But I do have a fat foot. The '09s are better than the '08s because the mesh is more flexible than the stiff nylon, but still could use some improvement or at least a width size choice.

Simply Excellent -- On packed/hard trails!Jun 25, 2009
By Banan Tarr I purchased these shoes over a year ago, and since then I have been nothing but impressed. I think it's important to keep in mind that these shoes are not intended for backwoods, sand or gravel running, as they will catch loose rocks, sand and debris in the springs and this can be annoying and probably even dangerous.
But if you're running on asphalt, concrete, grass, packed dirt, etc, then these shoes deserve 5/5 stars.

Great running shoeMay 25, 2009
By Matthew Rose I'm not much of an expert on running shoes but I really like the feel of these shoes. Great grip and support. The best running shoe I have ever purchased. Only negative is that if you run in gravel or rocky terrain, rocks will get caught in the shoe and be annoying and sometimes poke into your heel. So all I do is avoid running on rocks.

Great shoes for running & walking!!Jun 29, 2009
By Luis E. Leon G I got those shoes thru amazon (great service, they did arrive earlier than expected). The shoes are very confortable, with great support for running & walking, and they look great (I got the white with silver one)with jeans or shorts. I will recommend to buy them.

A Soldiers Foot WearOct 06, 2009
By Carlos J. Rivero These Running Shoes are pretty awesome, I shaved 30 seconds off of my two mile run on the PT test.. The only problem I got with it is the spaces it has in the bottom since I run in Iraq these no shortages of small rocks and they sometimes get caught in the spaces and get trapped in the bottom and rattle for awhile, other than that they're are comfortable, and keep your feet cool in the heat with the mesh. Buy these shoes...
