 Terrific winter footwear!Feb 25, 2010
I'm a pretty conservative rater of commercial products, but, this one has to have a FIVE! I've worn Merrell slides for a number of years around the house, and out to get the paper. During the winter, however, they were pretty cold. My new Encore Chill slides, however, are toasty warm with real fleece lining. They also have a great sole pattern which makes walking on snow drifts much less treacherous when I go out to get the paper in the morning!
Highly recommended...fit true to size, as well.

These clogs lost points because the foot bed insert is a very thin, cheap & unsupportive piece of fake polyester shearling. No big deal, I'll replace it with something with more support. Also, I'm sending my Encores back because they seem too large, even for a clog. I generally don't have sizing issues, a size 12 always fits me, but these appear to be a half size to a full size too large. I'll try a smaller size and update this rating when I break them in.
Also, be aware that some of the Amazon descriptions are incorrect. The Encore "Chill" Slide has the real Sheep Shearling, and the the plain Encore Slide does not.

This is a nice lined man's shoe. They tend to run more true to size than Ugg brand items. If you normally wear a 9.5, then order that size. They may be a little snug at first, but they will loosen up. Unfortunately, I initially ordered a 10 because that's what size I needed in Uggs. They were okay at first, but loosened up to much.

I bought this shoe for my husband who has had back problems. Not only is he happy with how easy it is to get on/off, but how comfortable they are. The shearling keeps his feet not too hot and not too cold, in a word they are-perfect.I bought his normal size and they fit perfect. The company sent them rather quickly which surprised me as it was during the holidays.
