excellent shoes!Jan 25, 2011
By Mati Shoshani I bought a pair of these shoes over a year ago, and still use them several times a week. I had paid $54 including S&H, and have never had a better pair of trail runners.
I am 5' 10', 175 pounds.
I run 90% on trails, in the mountains, and these shoes are great, very supportive, very easy on the feet. I must mention that I do not pound my feet when I run, which most definetly helps the shoes life expectancy.
for many years I used NB trail runners, my last pair had been an expensive trail runner pair, these have proven to be far superior, definetly on the long run.
The shoes are not light, so if you are a competative runner-these are more for training.
I've had Saucony runners before, and this model is a leap forward as far as design and comfort go.
If you like runing on trails, or even hiking with a medium load, these are a great buy.

SufficientSep 12, 2009
By R. Crockett I run ultrathons -- eight alone in 2008. I suffer from overpronation and flat feet.
My recent Brooks Cascadia failed to provide adequate support.
After some research, I found this high-stability shoe.
It proved inadequate for my flat feet and so I've inserted my usual off-the-shelf orthotics which seem to have solved the tired feet and arches problem.
The shoe has solved my overpronation and, much to my relief, has no hot spots. This shoe will work for me. It is cool, light and cushioned enough that I often use it for the road when I travel and don't want to carry two kinds of shoes.
I usually have a hard time finding a satisfactory shoe. This one's great. We'll see if it is comfortable past 50 miles soon.
Great ShoeJun 30, 2011

"runrun"
I am very impressed with this shoe. I have been running with Saucony shoes for about 10 years and this is by far the best one I have had yet. The arch support is amazing and the fit is nice and snug and does not cause blisters. While this is a trail running shoe it does very well on all surfaces and protects your foot from all kinds of impact. The sole is very strong and the cushioning lasts a surprising long time. This is well worth the money if you love to run and want to feel comfortable doing it day or night and on any surface.

"storm chaser"
I have had good luck Saucony trail runners. This one exceeds the others. I have only used them for about 1 month and I hope they last for the normal 3 months of trail running.

Saucony bests Asics Men's Gel-Trail Sensor 2 WR Trail ShoeNov 05, 2008
By D. Kanigan Like the golfer continuously looking for a new wedge to reduce strokes, I was skeptical that trail shoes would offer much of an advantage over my Asics running shoes (Gel Nimbus 10). However, there is noticeable difference in cushioning and protection with these shoes when I tested the Saucony vs. the Asics trail shoe. And, I was surprised to find that I preferred the Saucony trail shoe hands down over my long time favorite Asics Brand.
The most significant factor was Weight. Saucony wins hands down. 11.9 oz vs. 13.4 oz. Significant difference between the 2 shoes - with Saucony surprisingly light for a trail shoe.
I found the Saucony shoe to offer far more cushioning and protection than Asics. The "superdurable Vibram outsole" provided sturdy protection against rocks and other trail impediments. Asics felt stiff and firm in comparison.
While both shoes offered a snug, comfortable fit, Asics was way out front in terms of its lacing band system.
This Saucony shoe won the Runner's World Editor's Choice Award Pick for trail shoes in its 2008 Fall Trail Shoe Guide - and the shoe deserves the accolades.
