Turntec Mens Stride Velcro White Walking shoe Sz: 10.5Aug 18, 2010 These are, for cheep shoes... fairly OK cheep shoes.
My observations are this: they run a wee smaller than any shoe I have ever purchased. I ordered 10.5 and that is what the box reads, 10.5; I believe they are more like a size 10... as small and narrow size 10. I would suggest if you are buying this shoe try ordering at least one half size larger than you would normally wear. Another review suggested this and I ignored their advice now my feet and pocket book are paying the price.
They felt really great when I first put them on. They are light weight and that is nice and for the first three weeks of wearing them I really liked them. I walk on a concrete floor for about 10 hours a day and I was impressed as to just how good they felt. I was looking forward to when the were broken-in. Well... somewhere in the forth week my feet started to hurt me. I went out and got some Dr. Scholl's gel insoles; that was a waist of time and money. Maybe if I look I will find some insoles that make these shoes serviceable.
Cosmetically the look very good to me... not top of the class but nice enough.
All and all I personally will pass this "Good Deal" up the second time around.
I gave it two stars because it looks just fine and perhaps my feet are a wee more sensitive that someone else's may be.

Update: August 28, 2010
If you are seriously thinking of buying this shoe you should have no issues with buying things at Walmart.
They have this same basic looking shoe on their rack for only $14.00 added to governors' cut. The Wally's World version comes in three colours, White, Black, and Gray and is so superior to this one, in my opinion that buying this one is kinda' like playing sleeping bag in the road; a very well used road at that.
Really, it's just that bad. My feet have never hurt so bad I cannot believe I did this to myself.

Nice shoe, but too narrowAug 23, 2009 Bought this shoe for my husband - he simply prefers the velcro fasteners. The shoe seems sturdy built and well put together; overall very nice. Unfortunately, it is much too narrow and they do not currently offer a "wide" option. He normally does not have this problem, so just wanted to make sure if anyone is considering this shoe to take it into consideration. We would have loved to keep it if it had fit because it really seemed like a great value. We will be returning it.

My son likes themFeb 24, 2009 My son has special needs, and finding velcro shoes in adult sizes can be difficult. He likes these, while others we've bought for whatever reason he doesn't (for instance, the tongue doesn't stay up like it should). We bought much more expensive New Balance walking shoes with velcro, and the leather on them just don't hold up to his rough and tumble ways. These Turntecs don't seem to have that problem.
